Simple, quick & delicious tomato receipes

Tomatoes come in all sizes and varieties, however, the most popular ones are the ripe red tomatoes with its tangy juices. Usually, tomatoes are mixed in a blender to add more thickness to gravies and different curries. So, how about trying something new that has the goodness of tomatoes and are quick to make and healthy too?

Red, ripe and fresh tomatoes can add more taste and nutrients to any dish and that is why it is indispensable.

Corn, basil, and tomato salad:

Basil and tomatoes grow well naturally together and hence, they also are mostly used together in many recipes. To make this salad along with basil and tomato, you should add tender sweet corn that not only gives freshness but also adds crunchiness to the salad. Chop the tomatoes, cut the kernels of the sweet corn and add some sherry vinegar. Season with black pepper powder and salt and top it up with elegant ribbons of basil leaves.

Caprese salad:

Yet another quickie salad made with a tomato that is very simple! Arrange sliced tomatoes, basil leaves, sliced mozzarella on a serving platter, and dress it with the goodness of extra-virgin olive oil. Sprinkle salt for seasoning.

Grilled tomatoes:

Tomatoes on their own are quite tasty so you can make a dish with just tomatoes, especially when they are in season. During summer, when you have tons of tomatoes available at cheap rates, you should use it as much possible in your food. Grilled tomatoes are a wonderful dish that goes well as an accompaniment and adds more taste to your meal. Just grill the tomatoes, add some seasonings of your choice and serve. Make sure that the tomatoes are firm and ripe.

Open tomato ricotta sandwich:

Take some artisan bread (thick slice if you want it to be a full meal) and spread the ricotta cheese of your choice lavishly on it. Artisan bread can be of multiple types; like honey whole wheat, ciabatta, hearty rye, whole wheat and more. Now slice the tomatoes thickly and place them on the cheese. Sprinkle with gray salt or sea salt.

Pasta sauce without cooking:

Chop tomatoes, mince a clove of garlic and mix the two in a large bowl. Add pepper and salt, coat the whole mixture with olive oil and then add hot pasta. Toss the mixture so that the pasta is completely coated with the mixture. If you want, you can add more olive oil or a bit of fresh mozzarella. If you add the cheese when the pasta is warm enough, you will also enjoy the taste of melted cheese. You can also add your own seasonings such as chopped olives, red chili flakes, oregano, basil and anything else.

Avocado and tomato salad:

Chop tomatoes, avocadoes and toss them into a bowl. Add lime juice, sprinkle chopped cilantro and enjoy. You can even serve this whole salsa on a lettuce bed or with a pair of shrimp/picked crab and convert it into a light lunch meal.

Tomato red onion and cucumber salad:

Chop 2 tomatoes, peel and chop 1 cucumber, chop 1 small red onion and add a dash of red wine vinegar and olive oil. Season it with pepper and salt.
